We recently got a major batch of silk blouses in the door from London, Paris and Rome. So we decided to show our readers the versatility of silk shirts and run a shoot with our models Emma and Marie Louise.
Firstly, if it is long enough and properly covers the derriere, wear silk shirts as dresses with long necklaces adorning the neckline. You can also pair it with dangly earrings and a high ponytail for a sexy just-threw-this-outfit -on look. Always pair with sky high heels!
For cold winter months combine with a long cardigan and secure with a thick or thin belt, even over a pair of trousers. This works well when combining soft beiges and greys with a bold coloured silk shirt.
A refreshing eighties look we played around with, was a double up on silk skirts in different colours and then tying them in a knot at the waistline.
Oversized silk blouses look great when you roll up the sleeves and tie in at the waist with a leather braided belt. Or just let hang loose over leggings or tight denim.
Just play around with them, and best thing about them is in the winter silk has a warming effect and in the summer they help to keep you fresh and cool. Always hand wash, silk machine wash with the right detergent, or dry clean!
